UPDATE: Hackers targeting Sherman ISD
UPDATE [Apr. 14, 2014] -- Sherman ISD says no student data has been compromised during "unauthorized attacks" on district networks.
In an email to KTEN, April Patterson, SISD director of communications wrote, "Sherman ISD's network has security measures in place to protect its systems and data. An outside service that attacks or tests systems with large amounts of traffic has been directed at the Sherman ISD network by a third-party, and during such events Internet access is congested. These unauthorized attacks were reported for investigation. However, no student data has been compromised and Sherman ISD is not aware of a breach of the security measures. The network is still in operation."
