MURRAY COUNTY, OK -- Troopers say an inexperienced teen driver was hurt after running off the road in Murray County.

It happened around 7 p.m. on Saturday night on a county road one mile east and two miles north of Davis.

According to OHP, the juvenile pulled over to let another vehicle pass, but was unfamiliar with a "standard shift" vehicle, and lost control while trying to get back on the road, hitting a concrete abutment.

The driver was taken to OU Children's Hospital in stable condition. A second teen was treated and released in Sulphur and two others were not hurt. OHP tells us they were about 15 to 16 years old.
