ARMSTRONG COUNTY, TX -- Police in North Texas have located the missing senior citizen they've been searching for and they say he was all the way out near Amarillo.

The Silver Alert for Benisio Davila, 83, had been in effect for two days now. The Bridgeport Police Department in Wise County said the man suffered from slight dementia and drove away from his home en route to a restaurant on Friday afternoon.

Davila was found on Sunday evening near Claude, Tex., after someone at a convenience store called for help and Armstrong County deputies recognized the man and contacted Bridgeport police, police said.

His family is on its way out to the Panhandle to get him.
