Denison Man Accused In Wire Theft From Railroad Tracks

Posted:

SHERMAN, TX -- A Denison man is indicted by a grand jury after allegedly stealing wire from a railroad track.

Ronald Stoff, 29, is charged with both theft of copper and theft of property over $1,500. According to court documents, railroad investigators noticed in June that wire was missing from an overpass near Monterey Street in Denison.

That's when they set up a camera which they say caught Stoff red-handed.

He is also accused of stealing an air conditioner from a home on Twining Drive near the airport in September. Stoff is being held in lieu of $10,000 bond while awaiting trial.
