DENISON, TX -- Dozens of kids were getting dirty in Denison, and it was all on the orders of their youth pastor.

Denison firefighters were out on Saturday morning a their ladder truck to help muddy up the ground, as Parkside Baptist Church held its first mud obstacle course in the afternoon for kids in the seventh through twelfth grade.

The kids who take part in a church youth group had to run and jump over obstacles, and shuffle their way through a pipe, picking up lots of dirt along the way.

At the end, they got to shower off and get clean under the fire truck. The event is designed to increase kids' skills and cooperation. The National Guard Armory also took part.
