DURANT, OK -- A construction mishap at the Choctaw Casino in Bryan County sends one man to the hospital.

It happened around 8:30 a.m. on Sunday. Firefighters say when they got to the construction site just down the street from their Choctaw station, the man was lying near a dump truck, after apparently getting hung up in some type of mechanism, but they don't know exactly what happened to cause his injuries.

"He slipped off, got trapped between something on the trailer. He was down laying on the ground when we arrived on scene," says Durant fire Lt. John Vietta.

The worker was rushed to TMC. The construction company Manhattan tells us the man was hauling dirt for a "third tier" company that is working for their sub-contractor, and that he was treated and released.

The casino addition is set to be complete by next July.
