KTEN Anchor Dances During Fundraising Dinner In Durant

DURANT, OK -- One of our own takes to the stage tonight during a fundraiser in Bryan County.

For the fourth year, Durant Main Street held its Dancing with the Stars fundraiser at Choctaw Casino on Saturday night.

KTEN anchor Lisanne Anderson, who also performed during the event's first year, danced again.

This time, her dance partner was Murray State College agriculture chair Jody House, who also served as the evening's master of ceremonies and auctioneer.

The duo went on last out of the six teams, and acted out some of the attitude from a popular country song by Toby Keith called "I Wanna Talk About Me."

New Main Street director Tiffany Pierce says tonight's goal is to raise $15,000, and they've already surpassed their goal of 350 people attending.

The organization organizes events, workshops, and historic preservation grants for downtown businesses.

Tonight's winner was State Representative Dustin Roberts and his teammate Jennifer Rudolf, who is an accountant at REI. They performed a patriotic number complete with a sailor suit and American flags on stage.

During the auction, Anderson won some NASCAR tickets after another bidder donated his prize and casino gaming director Janie Dillard won another prize to watch the Dallas Mavericks. District Attorney Emily Redman was one of the judges.
