COOKE COUNTY, TX -- A driver pulling a trailer full of cows is okay tonight after rolling her truck in Cooke County, but one of her cows wasn't so lucky.

It happened around 5 p.m. on Highway 82, just west of the Cooke County line. The pickup that was pulling the trailer with cows inside rolled over, leaving one of the cows dead in the median, and at least one cow on the loose.

"I saw the white cow, she came down the road. I didn't want to see anybody else get hurt. And she caught me on the side, I just ducked around behind a light pole," says witness Don Darroh.

"They just said somebody flipped a trailer had some cattle in it and I come down here with some guys that are going looking for those cows that are out," says Joe Berry of Gainesville Livestock Auction.

Some cowboys from Gainesville came to try to round up the missing animal. Traffic heading west from Whitesboro was blocked for less than an hour before the wreck could be cleared.
