SHERMAN, TX -- Another year, another bi-district championship for the Sherman Lady Cats.
They're riding high into their Area Round match-up against Mansfield Lake Ridge.
Sherman's had quite a season locking up second place in the tough 13-4A district while winning 17 games.
They've been outsized all year but have compensated for that with heart.
Five seniors make up the core of coach Beth Tallant's squad and all of them have high hopes and expectations to continue lacing up their sneakers passed tomorrow.
"We are on a roll right now, we have won seven straight games since the McKinney North game and I think that our girls have just finally decided what goals they have in mind and they want to keep rolling," Tallant said.
"A lot of hard work and heart for us and we had to all agree on a goal that we had that we all want to achieve so we could be able to make it," senior forward Brandy Higgs added.
"We kind of want to make it farther than the second round because we always get knocked out in the second round," senior guard Brelyn Higgs concluded.
TIp off from Plano West High School at 7 p.m. tomorrow.
