LAS VEGAS, Feb. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Reading Kingdom, the online reading, writing and comprehension program, is excited to announce that it has been selected as one of the top 100 educational websites for 2014.

Every year Homeschool.com, the leading homeschool website, asks their readers to select the best educational websites – this year Reading Kingdom was chosen. While many of the sites on the list are free, a handful of exceptional fee-based programs are chosen each year, with Reading Kingdom as one of them.

Reading Kingdom was selected based in large part on its unique teaching platform – it is the only program available that uses the "6-SIM" Six Skill Integrated Method developed by Dr. Marion Blank of Columbia University.

The need for a new and improved reading program has never been greater. Shockingly, 2 out of 3 students across the US are failing to achieve proficiency in reading (source: US Dept. of Ed.). This is largely due to the outdated techniques being used that fail to successfully teach the majority of the students. Reading Kingdom, on the other hand, offers a new and improved 6 skill teaching system which was developed based on over 40 years of intensive research and development.

About Reading Kingdom: Reading Kingdom is an award-winning online program that teaches children 4-10 to read and write to a 3rd grade level. For more information please visit: http://www.ReadingKingdom.com
