Programs celebrate National Children's Dental Health Month

HARRISBURG, Pa., Feb. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Capital BlueCross is hosting a series of free dental programs at its Capital Blue health and wellness retail store at the Promenade Shops in Center Valley, Pa., to teach children how to keep their teeth and gums clean and healthy. The programs are in celebration of National Children's Dental Health Month.

"It is important that children learn at an early age how to keep their teeth clean and healthy," said Jennifer Natalie, Capital BlueCross senior manager of Retail Strategy. "At these free events, children will enjoy fun and interactive learning activities, such as making homemade toothpaste out of healthy ingredients, and discovering how vegetables help to clean teeth by removing plaque."

The event dates and times are:

  • Friday, Feb. 14, 4:30-6:30 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 22, 1:30-3:30 p.m. Love Your Teeth: OrganWise GuysDental Health. This program is for children ages 3-12. Children will learn the importance of eating healthy and how that relates to having healthy teeth and gums. Healthy snacks will be provided. Please call 855-505-2583 to register.
