DENISON, TX----- Denison police are looking for a man they say robbed a Denison gas station with a gun. It happened yesterday around 8 p.m. at the Lucky Stop Food Store off FM 1417 and 691. This is the second armed robbery in that area within two weeks.

It was around 8:15 p.m. yesterday when the store's manager, Amina Bah, took a frantic call from her night shift employee.

"She was afraid," Bah said.

Bah said the employee told her the store had just been robbed. The employee said she was sweeping the floors when she noticed a man with his face covered right outside the front door. She said the man walked through the front door, pointed a gun at her and demanded money. That's when she said she walked around the store's counter and got out about $500.

"A customer came here and helped her to call the police, but she didn't do anything because she was afraid," Bah said.

Luckily, the employee wasn't hurt. Police said when they arrived the man had already escaped. They said they tried to find him with the help of their K9 unit, but were unsuccessful.

"We do have surveillance video," Denison police officer Lt. Mike Eppler said. "It's just not being released at this point."

Now, police say they're looking for a young, white man described to be about 5'6", 160 lbs. They say in the surveillance video, the man can be seen wearing a blue jeans, a black hoodie and black Nike "Shox."

Lt. Eppler said this man may be involved with a recent robbery that happened at the Longhorn Convenience Store, which is in the same area as the Lucky Stop.

If you have any information regarding the suspect or robbery, you're asked to contact the Denison Police Department.
