Sherman Switching Over To All Well Water During Pipeline Work

Posted:

SHERMAN, TX -- If you live in Sherman, get ready to see changes in your water.

The City of Sherman says the pipeline between its water treatment plant and Lake Texoma will be taken out of service.

It should be down for about a month, starting Monday and lasting through Feb. 10. Sherman will be using well water while that pipeline is down.

If you're not currently getting well water, the city says there will be noticeable changes, but they say the water is safe to drink and cook with.

Although you may notice a slight difference in the taste of the well water, city officials say there will be no effect to the flow, and that about one-half of Sherman citizens already receive well water.

If you have any water problems, you're asked to call (903) 892-7258.
