Six Arrested During Drug Raid In Gainesville


GAINESVILLE, TX -- The Cooke County Sheriff's Office has made six arrests after busting an alleged drug gang in Gainesville.

Deputies and Gainesville police served arrest warrants at the Bella Vista Apartments last Friday, along with a second building in the 1300 block of Hillcrest Boulevard, in an effort to dismantle marijuana distribution by the "Gangster Disciples," Sheriff Terry Gilbert said in a statement.

In all, six people ranging in age from 19 to 45 were arrested. Gilbert says they confiscated four pounds of marijuana, three guns, $7,000 in cash, and a car, Gilbert said. Two children were turned over to Child Protective Services.

According to the Sheriff's Office, arrested were Dterrus Goree, 26, Konica Hennesy, 23, on possession of marijuana less than two ounces and endangering a child.

The second search led to the arrests of Cody Walters, 26, Richie Coleman, 45, Accaica Sherrer, 19, and Christopher Williams, 21, on charges of possession of marijuana over four ounces and endangering a child, Gilbert said.
