PONTOTOC COUNTY, OK -- Troopers say an early-morning crash in Pontotoc County injured a teenager riding in the back of a pickup truck.

It happened around 5 a.m. on Saturday on a county road about seven miles west and three miles south of Ada.

Tyler Grant, 17, of Roff, was ejected from the bed of the pickup when it blew through a stop sign and turned at a high rate of speed, a preliminary Oklahoma Highway Patrol report stated.

Grant was flown by helicopter to OU Medical Center in critical condition.
