Au cours du trimestre clos le 31 octobre 2013, les produits nets de Mercator Transport se sont eleves a 5,1 millions $, une baisse de 1,3 millions $ ou 19 % comparativement a la periode correspondante de l’annee precedente en raison de la reduction du chiffre d’affaires de la France et du Canada, facteur partiellement attenue par l’augmentation des produits en Argentine. La baisse du chiffre d’affaires est aussi le resultat des contraintes de financement de la Societe, contraintes qu’elle s’efforce de resoudre afin de retrouver croissance et rentabilite.

La Societe a realise un BAIIA(1) de 149 000 $ pour le trimestre clos le 31 octobre 2013, comparativement a une perte BAIIA(1) de (475 000) $ pour la periode correspondante de l’exercice precedent. L’amelioration des resultats est attribuable a la baisse de 36% des frais de vente et d’administration ainsi qu’a l’amelioration des marges brutes, facteurs partiellement attenues par la reduction du chiffre d’affaires.

Une perte nette liee aux activites poursuivies de 179 000 $, soit (0,005) $ par action, a ete inscrite au deuxieme trimestre de 2013-2014, comparativement a une perte nette de 818 000 $, soit (0,022) $ par action, pour le trimestre correspondant de l’exercice precedent en raison de l’amelioration du BAIIA(1).
