Zack was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, but calls himself a Texan since moving to The Lone Star State in 1996. He is excited to begin his career in the Texoma area with KTEN News.
Hedrick graduated from Keller High School in 2009. He then hopped across the Red River to attend The University of Oklahoma, graduating magna cum laude in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in journalism and a minor in business. He is an Eagle Scout of Troop 170 of Keller, Texas.
During his time at OU, he stayed as busy as he could. Hedrick wrote for the school newspaper, The Oklahoma Daily, and later reported, produced, and anchored for OU Nightly, OU's student-led, daily newscast. For four years, he was a member of The Pride of Oklahoma Marching Band, playing on the drumline for two years, then serving as drum major his junior and senior seasons. Hedrick also interned with CBS Sports in New York City and with KOCO 5 in Oklahoma City.
Zack is a big sports fan and is an avid supporter of the Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Stars, Oklahoma Sooners, and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Running, CrossFit, playing and watching sports, spending time with friends and family, and reading are the activities he enjoys in his free time.
