DENISON, TX -- Turkey and all the trimmings were on the menu a few days early.

Car cleaning store owner and businessman Thomas Rucker and his T-N-T group joined with family and friends to serve up a free Thanksgiving meal for hundreds of his neighbors.

Earlier this week, KTEN showed you the preparations involved in cooking 30 turkeys, and on Saturday afternoon, it was time to hand out all the dinners.

"God said feed my people and if I'm gonna listen to somebody, I'm gonna listen to him," says organizer Thomas Rucker. "It's a pleasure to feed these people and people appreciate coming together in the community and eating together and fellowshipping together and really having a good time."

Rucker says this is the 38th year he's organized this event, and some members of the Denison basketball team were there to help out. The menu included turkey, green beans, corn, and pumpkin pie.
