Grayson Co. Commissioners Upset About Federal Judge Vacancy

SHERMAN, TX -- Grayson County commissioners plan to formally request this week that a new federal judge be appointed in Sherman.

The previous district judge retired in 2006 and a new judge has not yet been appointed.

During the vacancy, judges have been commuting from Beaumont, which is also in the Eastern District of Texas.

Commissioners plan to adopt a resolution requesting a new judge during their meeting on Tuesday at 10 a.m.
