GRAYSON COUNTY, TX -- Some soldiers are back on post tonight after a day of fishing at Lake Texoma.

A total of 45 soldiers, some of them wounded or suffering PTSD, participated in the fourth annual Operation Welcome Home, organizer Jerry Dorsey said.

They returned early Sunday morning to places like Fort Sill, Fort Hood, and Sheppard Air Force Base after a breakfast at the Elks Lodge outside Pottsboro, Dorsey said.

"It's always a positive attitude, you know they really enjoy this. It's a time for them to get away and do something they haven't been able to do and Lake Texoma is the ideal situation," says Dorsey.

Dorsey said he is a Vietnam veteran who served in the Navy and read about a similar fishing event organized by the Wounded Warrior Project at Port O'connor, Tex.

He decided to start one here, so he contacted bases and striper guides and got donations.
