SHERMAN, TX -- A Love County couple is sentenced in connection with a purse theft in Denison.

Dana Daniel, 32, of Burneyville, was given 18 months in state jail and Christina Dolan, 30, of Burneyville, received four years probation, records show.

The couple was accused of stealing a woman's purse out of a shopping cart at Kroger in July, according to court documents.

The credit cards and checks inside were later used at stores like Best Buy, Target, Braum's and Albertson's, police reports state.

The discarded purse was later found behind the bread section. Each suspect was charged with six counts of forgery and two counts of credit card abuse.
