Sherman playing for pride in finale

SHERMAN, TX -- It all ends no matter what Friday night for the Sherman Bearcats. They're missing the playoffs for the first time since 2007.

It's been a frustrating campaign for head coach Gary Kinne and the boys, but they'll have one last shot to leave it all out on the field as Greenville comes to town.

Look for them to end on a high note.

"Only thing good that can come out of it is hopefully these underclassmen will realize this feeling and not want to have it anymore and turn it around. I mean, there's lots of examples just in our area of teams that have turned it around in one or two years and we never wanted to be one of those programs that were turning it around, we wanted to be one of those that stayed on top all the time but I guess that's not reality and we weren't able to do it this year and maybe it's a lesson for us and we'll come out hungrier next year," Kinne said.

They'll kick from Bearcat Stadium at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
