Oklahoma Agency Delays School Report Card Release

Posted:

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (AP)-- The Oklahoma State Department of Education says the release of school report cards will be delayed.

The department says the release of the reports that grade schools on an A-through-F scale will be postponed until after a special meeting of the State Board of Education within the next two weeks.

The board had been scheduled to discuss the reports at a meeting on Tuesday.

In Texoma last year, the Farris school in Atoka County -- which was later closed down -- received an "F." A plan to issue similar report cards in Texas has not been realized.
