Did you see this on Good Morning Texoma? Lisanne sat down with Grady Hartman with the Durant Rotary Club to learn more about this years 30th Annual Gun & Knife Show coming up on November 2nd and 3rd. It's an event to raise money for the Rotary Club, which in turn, goes back into the community to help multiple organizations and children.

Bryan County Fairgrounds

$5 admission ($1 off discount cards at various businesses including KTEN TV located at 10 Highpoint Circle in Denison, Tx while supplies last).

This year, they will include a gun carry license class. This instruction is specifically designed to allow citizens to legally carry a weapon, while emphasizing the importance of safety in the handling of firearms. 

Instructor, Captain Joe Kirk (Retired, Durant Police Dept.) will offer 8 hours of valuable information and instruction regarding the safety of firearms as well as the laws pertaining to carrying a firearm in Oklahoma. H has more than 30 years of experience as a law enforcement officer and trainer.

The class will be open to men and women 20 years old or older. The application can be filed at age 21.  Cost is $60 per person. Veterans cost :$54 .   With 10% proceeds donated to the Durant Rotary Club to be used for scholarships for Bryan County Students. To Enroll call Captain Joe Kirk at 580-847-2267.

Also, the Durant Rotary Club will hold it's Guns and Saddles Poker Run on Saturday November 2nd. First stop is Three Valley Museum at 401 W. Main Street in Durant. 

Fee for the bike ride is $15 per score card. First Bike out at 9:00am Last bike out at 10:00am.

Roll the Dice! Then saddle up for a 50 mile ride to four stops and end at the Durant Rotary Club's Gun and Knife Show at the Bryan County Fair Grounds located at 1900 S. Hwy 69 Durant Ok.
