LONE GROVE, OK -- The Longhorns are trying to make program history. Under new head coach Jeremy Turner, they've steam rolled to a 6-1 regular season record and perfect 4-0 district mark.
This week comes their toughest test since Marlow as Purcell comes to town.
The Dragons love to play a spoiler as they wrecked Dickson's perfect season bid last Thursday.
If they win they'll no matter what stay in first place in 3A-4 trying to get their first ever outright district title, which would mean two home playoff games giving them a shot to do something they've never done.
Win a playoff game.
"It'd be incredible. Being a Lone Grove guy, having graduated from Lone Grove and playing football here, it would just really be a blessing in my life and in our town's life to be able to lead the program to our first playoff victory, it'd be great," Turner said.
Lone Grove will kick against Purcell at 7:30 Friday night.
