Investigators Arrive At Remote Plane Crash Site Near Clayton

PUSHMATAHA COUNTY, OK -- NTSB investigators visited the scene of a fatal plane crash about 10 miles west of Clayton on Sunday.

It happened around 1 a.m. Saturday in a heavily wooded area. It took troopers until 10 a.m. to locate the remote site using another airplane.

Stephen Mark Hardin, 54, of Terrell, Tex., was found dead at the scene in a 1968 Cessna that had one engine, troopers said.

According to the Terrell Tribune, Hardin and his wife operate the airport in the city east of Dallas. There were no witnesses. No word yet on what caused the plane to go down.
