SADLER, TX -- 6-0 for the first time since 1966 and it feels so good for the S&S Rams.
Their next two games are against teams with a combined 1-11 record Making 8-0 a definite possibility.
Now it's homecoming week in Sadler, so why not celebrate with a little late night pep rally?
All smiles from the football team, cheerleaders, and hundreds of Rams fans on hand outside of the stadium Wednesday.
Hard to believe just two seasons ago this team didn't even win a game.
Now they're a virtual lock for their first playoff berth in 15 years.
But with four regular season games to go, including a highly anticipated Week 9 matchup against Gunter, they're not pinching themselves just yet.
"You know, I've got to keep focused honestly. I can't celebrate right now. I actually was talking to some kids about it, we can't celebrate right now. We've got work to do and after the season, I'll probably take some time and sit back and relax and probably grin a little bit about it and enjoy it. You know, it's been a fun ride but there's still a whole lot of work left to do," head coach Garrett Patterson said.
They'll play Whitewright Friday at 7:30 p.m.
