Four Candidates File For Two Open Sherman Council Seats

SHERMAN, TX -- We now know who is running for two open council seats, and each race will be contested.

Former Planning and Zoning Commission chair Lawrence Davis, 59, who runs Grayson Petroleum Company, will take on health insurance agent Steve Ingram, 51, for the District 1 seat.

In District 3, retired police chief Tom Watt, 55, faces off against former Parks and Recreation Board member Jim Travis, 50, who works for a pest control company, Steritech, in Dallas.

The election is November 5 and new members will take office on November 13. Both Pam Howeth and Joe Neal Smith are leaving the council due to term limits.
