SHERMAN, TX -- A high-speed chase on Highway 75 in Grayson County ended with one man in jail, after officers deployed "spike strips" to stop the pursuit.

Police say Mark Rushing, 28, rammed another vehicle near F.M. 1417 during the pursuit, which started around 10 p.m. on Saturday night.

The utility pickup truck was reported stolen from Texas Instruments in McKinney and was involved in an accident, police Sgt. D.M. Hampton said.

Van Alstyne police followed the truck to Sherman, where the driver ran over spike strips at Lamberth Road and Highway 75, ending the pursuit.

Officers say they then chased Rushing down and he was booked in to the Grayson County Jail on charges of aggravated assault and evading with a vehicle. His bond has not yet been set.
