WILSON, OK -- After nearly a month of searching for a missing Wilson girl, police are now  stepping up their efforts to find her.

3 weeks ago Wilson Police Chief Felix Hernandez told us he believed 17 year-old Molly Miller had run away from home and was in no danger.

He says they recently decided to apply for an Amber Alert since the girl's family still hasn't heard from her, but that the request was denied.

The chief says his department has been following up on leads for several weeks and found no trace of the girl.

Hernandez says other area law enforcement agencies are joining in the search.
