MURRAY COUNTY, OK -- Plans for wind farms in Texoma are expected to bring dozens of new jobs to the area.

Developers with Renewable Energy Systems Americas said they plan to build a field of 75 turbines in Murray County.

A power line will be built in Carter County to carry the energy from the turbines to an electric grid.

In a separate project officials with EDP Renewables North America said they plan to build a wind farm at the Arbuckle Mountain.

Both projects are expected to bring dozens of jobs to the area.

"The benefit to the county is the investment that will be making there, we're going to be investing more than 200-million-dollars to build the project and there will be investment benefits and job creation benefits," said Shalini Ramanathan, VP Development RES Americas.

They are set to be completed by December of 2014.
