GRAYSON COUNTY, TX -- A man accused of killing a Grayson County deputy has pleaded not guilty.

Rickey Stanley is facing eight felony charges including intoxication manslaughter, death of a peace officer, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Police say Stanley is responsible for killing Deputy Chad Key in April of this year.

Investigators say Stanley ran into Deputy Key on Highway 82 and Bethany Road while he was directing traffic.

Key was rushed to the hospital but died a short time later.

Stanley remains behind bars at the Fannin County Jail on $335,000 bond. His next court date is August 14th.
