LONE GROVE, OK --- The Lone Grove Longhorns have named Jeremy Turner their new athletic director and interim head football coach, superintendent Todd Garrison told KTEN sports.
Turner, the middle school assistant principal, is no stranger to the program.
He played for the team in high school, graduating in 1996 then served as offensive coordinator from 2006 to 2011.
His coaching career started in 2002 believe it or not at Denison High School. He spent four years with the Yellow Jackets before heading back to his alma mater.
He'll take over team that went 5-5 before losing in the first round of the playoffs.
He also coached the Longhorn baseball team for five years taking them to back to back state tournaments in 2009 and 2010.
