DENISON, TX -- "I recycle,” said Vincent Shores, Denison resident. “Pretty much anything I have in the house that's recyclable, I recycle it.” Recycling hasn't always been an option for people who live in Denison, but last year the city started a new program that offers curbside pick-up. "I just need about two or three more bins actually,” said Shores. “I have to borrow my neighbor's." "I love it,” said Tammy Ford of Denison, “I would have never done it if it wasn't right at my curb side, I...More >>

DURANT, OK -- Dozens biked their way through Texoma to help a flight nurse injured in a helicopter crash.

Friends organized a "poker run" to benefit Tosha Whitmire, 28, following last month's EagleMed crash in Talihina. Bikers started their run at Sports City Cafe on Highway 69/75 and made stops including Sherman and Mead.

Family members are staying in Tulsa where Whitmire continues her recovery at the hospital.

"She's good, I saw pictures the other day I think her mom sent, one about her walking," says friend Stephen West. "She's walking now, she's awake, she's coherent. She's still on a lot of pain meds because it's pretty painful what happened to her."

According to an NTSB preliminary report, the chopper landed on the road because another chopper was on the hospital's helipad. When it took off, it struck a metal light pole on the left side of the road and crashed.
