TIOGA, TX -- People in Randy Travis's hometown of Tioga are reacting to the singers hospitalization.  Travis owns a ranch in Cooke County just outside the Tioga city limit.

People who live nearby say he can often be seen working at his farm.

The staff at a restaurant in Tioga called "Clark's Outpost" say Travis is a regular there and say news of his illness came as a surprise.

"I just want him to know that we are thinking about him and he's in all of our prayers and to just get better soon," said Becky Everhardt, Clark's waitress.

Travis is being treated for Viral Cardiomyopathy.   He was admitted to a hospital on Sunday.

Tuesday, a spokesperson said he underwent placement of a heart stabilization device prior to transferring to another hospital.

The Grammy winner remains in critical condition.
