OKLAHOMA (AP)-- The battle over water in Oklahoma remains unresolved, but mediation talks will now continue as part of an ongoing lawsuit.

A lawsuit filed by the Choctaw and Chickasaw Nations and a related lawsuit filed by the state have been on hold for more than a year.

Officials hoped the two sides could settle their differences through negotiation. While they continue to talk, no one knows when -- or if -- a resolution will be reached.

Negotiations are set to resume on July 18.

Recently, another case of a Fort Worth water district seeking to get water from Oklahoma was settled in the Oklahoma's favor.
