DURANT, OK -- Dozens of quilts were on display at a show in Bryan County, and each represents months of work for some of those who make them as a hobby.

The Heritage Quilters of Durant held a quilt show on Saturday at the Bryan County Fairgrounds on South Ninth Avenue.

They make and sell quilts and also invited community members who are not part of the club to display their quilts. There were also several lessons for people interested in learning how to pick up the hobby.

Club president Vicki Fridle says they donate quilts to the Crisis Center and the Pregnancy Center in Durant, and to others who seem to need one. The club meets monthly at the Northwest Church of Christ.
