TEXOMA---- Several new grocery stores could be coming to Texoma offering new food options and new jobs. The German-based Aldi will be opening their second Texoma location in Sherman in July.

Today, Aldi store employees searched for the newest additions to their staff during the store's job fair. The hiring staff said at least 200 people came through their doors looking for work. The store is paying cashiers $11 an hour and managers $21 dollars an hour.

In addition to the new Aldi, two new Brookshire's locations could also be in the works. Sherman city officials and the Tyler-based company have confirmed plans for a 42,000-square foot store at the corner of Washington Street and FM 1417 in Sherman.

Tomorrow night, Grayson County commissioners will consider an agreement for an 85% tax discount for a Whitesboro Brookshire's. This store would be located at North Union Street and Highway 82. If approved, this store would be their third location to come to Texoma.
