ARDMORE, OK -- A teenager was injured in a wrong way crash involving three vehicles on Interstate 35.

Troopers say Peyton Karlik, 19, of Davis was going south in the northbound lane around 10 p.m. on Friday, when she collided with the cab of a tractor trailer near Exit 33.

Karlik had to be freed with the jaws of life. She was air-evaced to Plano Medical Center in critical condition. The northbound lanes were closed for 3 hours.

According to a preliminary OHP report, when the truck swerved to avoid her, it hit a pickup carrying two senior citizens from Duncan. They were wearing their seatbelts and were okay.
