DENISON, TX--- Whether you're in search of some homegrown and local produce or looking to score some hand-crafted items, the Downtown Denison Farmer's Market is ready to serve Texomans.

The market was founded in 2011 and their mission is to bring the very best in agricultural and locally produced products to Texomans while providing viable outlets for Texoma farmers and producers.

"All of the growers grow their own stuff and it's actually picked the day that you purchase it," said organizer Cat Adair. "The shelf life is going to be so much better, the nutrient level will be so much higher and the flavor is so much more intense."

"We just pick our produce fresh from the farm and bring it right here," said farmer Edward Ward.

The market relies on volunteers and donations to stay in business. It's located in historic Downtown Denison, at 400 W. Chestnut St., Denison, TX 75020 and is open Wednesdays from 3pm to 6pm and Saturdays from 9am to 12pm. This selling season will last through October.
