TISHOMINGO -- A firefighter injured while battling a blaze at a house fire is out of the hospital.

The assistant fire chief at the Tishomingo Fire Department tells KTEN the firefighter was taken to a hospital with burns. He was treated and released.

The fire started at 10:18pm on Saturdayat a home on 22nd Street and South Ohio. Investigators say the home was empty at the time but that the people who lived there were in the process of moving out.

The Tishomingo and Ravia Fire Departments battled the blaze for several hours. KTEN viewer, David Wood, emailed several photos of the fire to our newsroom, newsteam@kten.com, on Saturday night.

Officials say the home is a complete loss. The state fire marshall is now investigating.
