DENISON, TX --  Big weekend coming up for the conference champion Grayson College Vikings.

They finished off their 39-13 regular season with a four game sweep over Vernon College, out scoring their opposition 27-6 in those four contests.

But now, as head coach Dusty Hart says, the real season begins.

If they can survive the Southwest District Championship in Grand Prairie, they'll punch their ticket to the College World Series and have a shot at their first national title since 2008.

They're confident they have what it takes to get it done.

"It's special because we have so much talent, we don't even realize it. I mean, that's the best part about it. We go out there and play and no one cares, we have no egos, we go out there and win," second team all-conference pitcher Jacob Rhame said.

"I don't like the odd number of baseballs out there. I don't really like odd number period on billboards, so I want to see an even number up there," first team all-conference pitcher Chris Sadberry added.

"We're just on a high right now. Really, don't try to get the big head, but just know that nobody is really there. So we just go out there and try to play our game and try to win," first team all-conference first baseman Chris Gittens concluded.
