SILO, OK -- The Rebels are back in the State Tournament and that's no surprise. This will be the seniors seventh trip to high school's biggest stage and they're ready to bring home the school's sixth spring title.
Silo tore through their regional and have posted a 29-5 record good enough to be ranked third in the State.
Their seniors have won two State championships already and head coach Billy Jack Bowen says their chances are as good as any to do it again.
"I'm not going to go out there and just give half effort. I'm going to go out there and leave it all on the field," senior second baseman Justin Hendricks said. "So, it's different, you know, playing as a senior being your last time on the baseball field for high school."
"They're dedicated to have been here for four years. They've had am unbelievable amount of success and they do like the seniors before them and set the bar high. So they've got some responsibilities to kind of carry on the tradition," coach Bowen added.
They'll play Ketchum at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Dolese Park in Oklahoma City.
