OSBI Offers Reward in Idabel Homicide

The OSBI is offering a substantial reward in a nearly six-year-old homicide case in southeast Oklahoma.

In the early morning hours of September 17, 2007, Jasmon Howell, 24, was shot multiple times while he was sitting in his car in the 1900 block of Hillcrest in Idabel. A friend drove Howell to the hospital where Howell later died.

The Idabel Police Department requested OSBI open an investigation. Since then, agents have investigated numerous leads and have made significant progress. In fact, agents need only a few more pieces of information to conclude the case.

With that in mind, the OSBI is offering up to a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) involved in the homicide. If anyone has information helpful in this case, please call the OSBI hotline at 1-800-522-8017.
