COLLIN CO, OK -- People catching a ride on TAPS will soon be able to travel as far south as Plano.

The transit provider says the move will bring the number of service counties up to 7 and will double the number of people that can ride TAPS.

Collin County commissioners approved the move on Monday.

Taps buses will replace the county's existing public transit, which has been on the decline.

Taps will begin service to Collin County on July 1st.

The new routes are expected to bring in about 30 jobs.
