SHERMAN, TX -- Police are looking for a man they say robbed a gas station in Sherman today.

It happened just before one o'clock this afternoon at the Valero on F.M. 1417.

Police say the suspect came in, showed  a gun, demanded money, and then took off on foot.

Police describe him as a white male, five foot, ten inches tall, average build to heavy set, wearing a gray hoodie turned backwards with eye holes cut in the hood covering his face. They believe he's wearing wind pants with a light colored stripe down the sides.

"If anybody sees that person matching that description they need to contact the police department if they saw any body matching that description in this area. Any of the houses over to the west that was the last place he was seen running west of this location. There are some housing addition over there behind the bowling alley," says Sergeant D. M. Hampton with the Sherman Police Department.

This suspect is still on the run and if you have any information regarding a man matching the description you are urged to contact the Sherman police.
