New Restaurants Coming to Ardmore

ARDMORE, OK-- Ardmoreite's can look forward to new choices when it comes to eating out.

Kaylee Parum is new to the area, but said she's not new to the flavors of Chicken Express.

Parum recently moved to Ardmore from Texas and said when she heard about popular fried chicken chain coming to the area, she had to drive by and see for herself.

"I mean come on chicken express is really awesome," said Parum." I noticed that they were building a chicken express, I said that's so crazy I want to drive by and see how it is!"

Rib crib is also coming to the area and a new dentist's office as well.
City officials said business in Ardmore is on the right track.

"It's really exciting we have a lot new places to eat and it's just because Ardmore is growing. I think in the future you're going see a lot of growth in Ardmore. We're growing in housing, we're growing commercially and hopefully we get a lot more places to eat," said City worker Jessica Scott.

Dozens of new businesses have popped up in the city and residents say they welcome the expansion and the added variety.

"I think it's good that they're expanding, especially fast food and stuff like that because that is what everyone's revolving to," said resident Randy Stinson."

City officials said more new businesses means more jobs and overall economic growth for the city.

"It means more jobs and it means more places for people to spend their money. It's a wonderful thing for our community," said Scott.

Both Chicken Express and Rib Crib are expected to be open by summertime.
