POTTSBORO, TX---- A night to remember took on a whole new meaning at last night's prom at Pottsboro High School.

Lt. David Brown of the Pottsboro Police Department said the lockdown happened after a student posted a picture of a gun on Facebook. He said Pottsboro High School was referenced in the background of the photo. However, he said it is still unclear how the posted photo led to the lockdown.

Brown said the student never showed up to the prom and the school was on lockdown for less than an hour. He stressed that at no point was any student in danger and that no direct threat to the high school prom was ever made.
