HOPKINS COUNTY, TX -- The search for 2 north Texas fugitives is over.

The Hopkins County Sheriffs Office says Brian Allen Tucker and John Marlin King were captured Thursday afternoon in Cooper, Texas.

That's about 25 miles south-west of Paris.  Deputies say the two were held up in a barn behind a residence and offered little resistance during a quickly executed ambush.

The two escaped from the Hopkins County Jail Tuesday.  Tucker was being held on a charge of capital murder.  King had been indicted for evading arrest.

The sheriff's office has confirmed that the black S.U.V. reported stolen in Sulphur Springs was located near the home, but they haven't found the gun that was believed to be inside the car.

A $20,000 reward was offered by the Texas Department of Transportation and the U.S. Marshalls office for information leading to their capture.

Tucker and King are now back in the Hopkins county jail.
