SHERMAN, TX --  After being delayed last weekend for rain, the Easter egg hunt in Sherman is now scheduled for the last weekend in March.

The event starts at 8:30pm Friday, March 29th with a flashlight egg hunt for kids 9 years old and older.  Then Saturday morning, March 30th there is a traditional egg hunt for kids 8 years and younger starting at 10am.  Both egg hunts are open to the public.

Over five thousand eggs are going to be put out for kids to try and find.

Theresa Hutchinson, the Recreation Manager for Sherman Parks and Rec says, "We have prizes, of course all the eggs have candy and stickers and that sort of thing inside the eggs but we also have some special eggs out there that will have door prizes to local restaurants and that sort of thing."

Both egg hunts are taking place at Pecan Grove West Park in Sherman. Kids will need to bring a flashlight for the night egg hunt Friday evening. If you have any questions about the egg hunt, please call Sherman Parks and Rec at 903-892-7344.
